In 2007 I took a photography course in Utrecht and since then I see at the world through different eyes. In my photos you don’t see reality, but my vision of reality. I frame the world into minimalistic images. Often in black and white and preferably on film.
I like contrasting themes such as metropolitan life versus the serenity of nature.
My camera is my tool and because every project is different I have a full tool case. This way I can choose the equipment that fits the subject: on the street I use an inconspicuous small camera, in nature a large format camera on a tripod.

In 2007 volgde ik een fotografieopleiding in Utrecht en sinds dien bekijk ik de wereld door andere ogen. Op mijn foto’s zie je niet de werkelijkheid, maar mijn visie op de werkelijkheid. Ik kader de wereld in tot minimalistische beelden. Vaak in zwart-wit en bij voorkeur op film.
Ik houd van contrasterende thema’s zoals het grootstedelijke leven tegenover de serene rust in de natuur.
Mijn camera is mijn gereedschap en omdat elk project weer anders is heb ik een volle gereedschapskoffer. Zo kan ik de apparatuur kiezen die bij het onderwerp past: op straat gebruik ik een onopvallende kleinbeeldcamera, in de natuur een technische camera op een statief.
